How can you get admission in UET Peshawar?
In Pakistan it’s a dream of every single Parent that their
child either become a doctor or an Engineer. It’s the end of the June and thousands of students are working hard to get
admission in UET. They know the only barrier between them and UET is ETEA Entry
Test.
Around 16000 students will appear in the test and approx. only
1000 will achieve their dream ( or their
parents dream…….)

How can you become one of those successful students?
There
are few tips regarding it.
- If
we check the last 3 years record we come to know that if you get 380-400 marks
you can easily get admission in UET. But getting these marks is not that much easy.(Remember:
don’t follow Amir Liaqat’s famous words “thuka lagawo musalmano” otherwise
negative marks gonna hurt you )
In ETEA test there are around 60 questions from Maths, Physics and Chemistry and 20 from English. As a Pre-Engineer student your Maths must be strong and the questions from Maths that comes in ETEA exam are not that
much tricky ( that wasn’t tricky for me ). So if you solve max. questions of Maths section then your chance of getting more marks increases.I will suggest you students to attempt at least 45 to 55 questions of Maths in
test. If you are not sure about the method then leave those questions because
it will result in negative marking.
Go through all the formula of 1st year and 2nd year book
and they are not that much tough.
-
It’s
a plus point for Pre-Engineering students that they love Physics. But in ETEA
Test the questions from Physics are
tricky and tough. But there are easy questions too atleast 25 to 30. You must
attempt 30 to 35 questions from this section.
-
Come toward the subject of love (Chemistry yaar :D). I know students hate it.
But the questions that come from it isn’t that much tricky. Most of these
questions are text book statements. All depends on how you studied your book.
Most of the questions are general. Some are related to equations, periodic
table, physical and chemical properties of elements. You must attempt 35-45
questions from this section.
- English section contain punctuation and synonyms . But it
depends on your luck sometimes it’s really tough. If you are sure about your
answer then attempt those questions otherwise leave them.
- If we sum up all
and according to my calculation student must have to attempt 120 to 130
questions. By doing so it’s a good chance to take excellent marks in ETEA. ( only
if you are sure you mark the correct answer rather than going with thuka).
-
ETEA
test demands study not thuka….if you have confusion in a particular question
don’t attempt it because these negative marks gonna hurt you a lot(I am
stressing on negative marks a lot because this is the main reason students get
low marks beyond expectations….and ultimately unsuccessful in finding name in
merit list……).
- But if student is sure on 80 MCQ’s and he don’t know about
the answers of other then he should not attempt other questions. Yeah the chance of getting admission in open
is very low but he can get admission on self basis even in civil and
mechanical.
So don’t lose your heart. Still there are 7 days left for
ETEA. Do work hard. This chance will never come again. Grab your books and
break this barrier of ETEA. UET is waiting for you 😊.P.S: It’s only for Engineering students.
